Latest News: 10 February 2025 - Supporting a Syrian Path to Truth: Landmark Visit of the Independent Institution on Missing Persons in Syria to Damascus

The Independent Institution was established by the UN General Assembly in June 2023 and is dedicated to determining the fate and whereabouts of all missing persons in Syria, and to supporting victims, including survivors and families of the missing. 

IIMP is receiving relevant information, including primary source data, archives, records, and lists from detention centers, prisons, courts, cemeteries, coroners, and information about potential or known burial sites.
